Name :
Recombinant Human CD86 Protein, Fc-tagged

Specification :
| Description : This gene encodes a type I membrane protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressed by antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteins at the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein with CD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of the T-cell. Binding of this protein with cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 negatively regulates T-cell activation and diminishes the immune response. Alternative splicing results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011] | Source : HEK293 cells | Species : Human | Tag : Fc | Molecular Mass : rhCD86-Fc, fused with Fc fragment of human IgG1 at the C-terminal and has a calculated MW of 51.5 kDa expressed. The predicted N-terminal is Leu26. Protein migrates as 80-95 kDa in reduced SDS-PAGE due to glycosylation. | Endotoxin : Less than 1.0 EU per 1 µg of the rhCD86-Fc by the LAL method. | Purity : >96% as determined by SDS-PAGE. | Notes : Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. | Storage : No activity loss was observed after storage at 4-8 centigrade for 1 month or -20 centigrade for 1 year in lyophilized state. rhCD8 centigrade-Fc should be aliquoted and stored at -8 centigrade centigrade in liquid formulation, for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. | Storage Buffer : Supplied as a 0.22 µm filtered solution in 50 mM tris, 100 mM glycine, pH7.0 and delivered as liquid formulation or lyophilized powder. Normally mannitol or trehalose are added as protectants before lyophilization. Reconstitution instruction or specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of CoA along with the products.
